What is Mal-A-Ket Shampoo?
Mal-A-Ket Shampoo is for the support of healthy skin for animals with conditions responsive to ketoconazole and/or Chlorhexidine. It is an antimicrobial and anti-fungal medicated shampoo for dogs, cats and horses. It relieves itchy, irritated skin, fights infection, and leaves a pleasant scent.

How does Mal-A-Ket Shampoo work?
Mal-A-Ket Shampoo contains active ingredients 2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate, USP; 1% Ketoconazole. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an antiseptic antibacterial agent that is used to treat bacterial infections and Ketoconazole is an antifungal medication used to treat skin conditions like yeast, ringworm and seborrhea.
Cautions:
For topical use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If skin irritation develops or increases, stop use and call your veterinarian. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Human warning: Wash hands after use. Rare but serious allergic reactions have been reported with exposure to chlorhexidine gluconate.
Mal-A-Ket Shampoo Directions:
- Shake well.
- Apply to wet coat, rub onto skin and haircoat until lightly lathered.
- Keep skin and haircoat lathered for 5-10 minutes, then rinse well.
If skin irritation does not improve or gets worse, contact your veterinarian.
